On 23rd March the 2nd Annual Review of the RICORDO project took place at the European Bioinformatics Institute in Hinxton, UK. The RICORDO project is focused on the study and design of a multiscale ontological framework in support of the Virtual Physiological Human community to improve the interoperability amongst its Data and Modelling resources.
During the review, a video was presented that demonstrated the WP6 Integrated Prototype. It shows a client application executing several Web Services that form a Workflow from MRI human heart image data via segmentation, mesh fitting for FEM simulations through to protein spatial distribution data calculation. In this workflow GIMIAS acts as the provider for the biventricular segmentation using statistical models. You can find a video here.
