Biomedical Engineering students are using GIMIAS

The new Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering has started this year at UPF. The bachelor's degree programme provides broad-based and interdisciplinary training in areas including technology, the physical-chemical sciences and biomedicine, and is also focused on computational,
physiological and biological modelling.

The students started using GIMIAS as an introductory tool for biomedical image processing domain. During the practical sessions, the students followed the tutorials that are available at the GIMIAS web site. This tutorials are focusing on generic topics commonly used in biomedical modelling, like image segmentation, mesh editing or standard visualization. The tutorials also provide a processing example on Cardiology, Angiography and Neuroimaging domains.
