On May 2012, GIMIAS was presented at the Workshop on Open Source Medical Image Analysis software organized by ISBI 2012 and Eurobioimaging. Eurobioimaging is aimed at providing a research infrastructure for biomedical research, while ISBI is the International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging that took place in Barcelona from 2th to 5th of May.

On 23rd March the 2nd Annual Review of the RICORDO project took place at the European Bioinformatics Institute in Hinxton, UK. The RICORDO project is focused on the study and design of a multiscale ontological framework in support of the Virtual Physiological Human community to improve the interoperability amongst its Data and Modelling resources.

msv_logo_final On 27th of March of 2012, the second project review of the Multiscale Spatiotemporal Visualisation (MSV) took place in Bologna, Italy. MSV is a European project within the 7º framework program with a consortium composed of international leading partners in the development of visualization software tools for biomedical applications: SCS, the University of Bedfordshire, Kitware, the Auckland Bioengineering Institute and UPF.  The aim of the project is to develop an open-source library (MSVTK) for interactive visualization of multiscale biomedical data that will be released at the end of 2012.

VPHShare On March 2012, the first General Assembly of the VPH-Share project took place in Krakow, Poland. VPH-Share is an European project within the 7º framework program that includes 19 partners form 8 countries.  The aim of the project is to provide clinicians and researchers the fundamental infrastructure to store, share and use clinical data and tools. Thus, facilitating the construction and operation of new workflows among the VPH community.
